I'm Lal Chand, a full-stack engineer based in Islamabad, Pakistan. I build AI automation and custom business systems, and I do it through Codic Systems, the company I founded in 2026.
I've worked in software since 2019. I joined Emenac Inc. in September of that year as a frontend developer, moved to full stack, and finished as a senior engineer and project lead in February 2026. Cbrix is Emenac's sister brand, and the work crossed both.
The biggest project of that time was EPADS, Pakistan's federal e-procurement platform, which Emenac delivered under a government contract. I led a team on it. It taught me what software looks like when audit trails, uptime and public accountability are not optional.
Alongside that, I've freelanced on Upwork since 2021. Over the years I've built 50+ websites for travel agencies in the UK, US and Gulf, and web apps for healthcare (a multi-module EMR), education (an ERP), real estate, finance and automotive clients. I also built EuroCert.al, a certificate verification platform for an Albanian certification body.
I've also taught coding to international students, and I hold 21 five-star teaching reviews. I still write about what I learn, and you can read it on the blog.
Codic Systems (SMC-Private) Limited was incorporated on 27 August 2026. I'm the only founder, so the person you talk to is the person who writes the code. Some of Codic's tools are open source on GitHub.

Where are you based?
Islamabad, Pakistan. I work with clients in the UK, US and Gulf from here, on Pakistan Standard Time (UTC+5).
How did you get into software?
I've worked in software since 2019. I joined Emenac Inc. in September of that year and spent the next six years there, starting with frontend work and moving into full-stack development and then a senior engineer and project lead role.
Are you still at Emenac?
No. My time at Emenac ran from September 2019 to 10 February 2026. Cbrix is Emenac's sister brand, and I worked across both. Client work I take on now goes through my own company, Codic Systems.
What was EPADS, and what was your part in it?
EPADS is Pakistan's federal e-procurement platform. Emenac delivered it under a government contract, and I led a team working on it. I don't share internals of a government system, but the case study on this site describes the kind of work involved.
Why Codic Systems?
Client work needed a proper home: a registered company, SMC-Private Limited, incorporated on 27 August 2026. I am its only founder, so the person you talk to is the person who writes the code.
What technologies do you work with?
React and Next.js on the front end, Node.js with NestJS or PHP with MySQL and PostgreSQL on the back end, and n8n for workflow automation. I pick the stack the client's team can maintain, which is sometimes the boring one.
Do you teach?
Yes. I have taught coding to international students and hold 21 five-star teaching reviews. I wrote up what worked in an article on this site.
